Walking around Jordaan is an adventure unto itself. You’re not entirely sure what you’re going to find. You could discover a purple candle shop, a shop specialising in vintage S-shaped earrings, or a sweet shop carrying imported chocolate and liquorice from Peru.
We found Japanese Pancake World.
Which just goes to show the popularity of Japanese cuisine. Hidden away in 2e Egelantiersdwarsstraat is a small restaurant (four tables, I recall, plus a few breakfast table options) dedicated to okonomiyaki.
We got the butatama Osaka.
It was seriously yummy. Different, but yummy and fulfilling.
